Ando Ramarokoto – NAYD CFP Madagascar

As a Communication Officer within the NGO Welthungerhilfe in my everyday life, I get to write lots of articles, reporting on the success stories of our work. With a passion for writing, it is just normal for me to volunteer at an office that requires me to write those same success stories but on a larger scale. As I learn to know about the youth-led organizations working toward rural development, I become amazed at how little I know of all the efforts carried out by young people. But I also despair at times because of the huge challenge awaiting us. Education is a mess and basic nutrition is a challenge whether it is in the most productive areas or the most vulnerable.

Madagascar and Africa have lots of riches and there are people trying to make the best out of the situation. I would like to be able to do more to shed light on those who do it. So I’m calling on everyone to share, step out and spread the good practices so that we can all benefit from it.
