Ethiopian Young Lawyers Association (EYLA

Ethiopian Young Lawyers Association (EYLA) was established by fresh law school graduates eight years ago. The Association has an objective of promoting efficient administration of justice through the participation of the youth. EYLA focuses on human rights and rule of law, proposing amendments and the promulgation of new laws, non-partisanship in politics, and providing free legal aid to the needy. In addition, EYLA aims to promote cordial relationship among law professionals and create professional development opportunities for members. Currently the Association, in partnership with other stakeholders, gives free legal aid services for the less-privileged. The association also has different projects working on child rights. By promoting the rule of law and youth leadership, EYLA contributes to the development of Ethiopia.
